02/11/2009 - (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Portland Trail Blazers finish a quick two-game homestand on Wednesday by welcoming the Oklahoma City Thunder to the Rose Garden.
The Blazers won the opener of the residency in thrilling fashion on Sunday when Brandon Roy scored the game-winning layup as time expired to help Portland steal one from the New York Knicks, 109-108, at the Rose Garden.
Roy ended with 19 points and eight assists for the Blazers, who stopped a two- game slide and improved to 19-5 as the host on the season. Travis Outlaw had 23 points and LaMarcus Aldridge netted 16 for Portland.
Greg Oden chipped in 17 points and 12 boards while also swatting a career-high six shots in the win.
The Thunder, meanwhile, fell in Hollywood on Tuesday when Kobe Bryant became the youngest player in league history to reach the 23,000-point plateau, all part of a 34-point, seven-rebound performance, as the Lakers used a workmanlike effort to down the Thunder, 105-98.
Bryant reached 23,000 points with 5:13 left in the second quarter, becoming the youngest player to reach the mark by five days over the legendary Wilt Chamberlain.
Kevin Durant poured in 31 points with 10 boards for Oklahoma City, which was attempting to win a third straight game for the first time this season.
Russell Westbrook returned to his stomping grounds (he played collegiately at UCLA) with 17 points, nine rebounds and seven assists and Jeff Green added 16 points and eight boards as the Thunder fell to a miserable 3-21 on the road.
The Oklahoma City/Seattle franchise has won three straight over the Blazers, including a 102-93 win at the Ford Center earlier this season.
